Participating Choirs

Cantamici Koor

The mixed choir Cantamici started as a Dominican friar choir in 1950, evolving to an a capella SATB choir in 1970 under the name of  'De Kele' (The Throat), always under choirmaster Joris Backeljauw. They sang in many concerts, weddings and celebrations, and other special occasions.
In 2011 the name was changed into Cantamici, with a new conductor: Jan Convents, former choir member. They appear now at golden weddings and special occasions, like this festival.
